The Backyard Veggies Workshop was very popular with spaces filling up quickly. The workshop gave a great introduction into how to grow veggies at home with lots of discussion and practical information. The Veggie Lady was very informative. Council is planning to run similar workshops for residents on topics such as getting the right soil, solving garden problems organically and growing herbs.

Your website is full of great info for the aspiring gardener - I have just built a new house and am in the process of creating a vege garden, I love to grow my own, especially fruit - I planted my first tree on Sunday - a Tahitian Lime that I have had in a pot for 12 months - it was so exciting - I have learnt so much so quickly from you website, keep up the good work and thanks again.

This month I was excited to find a reference to Bronze Orange Bug, as I've been having a lot of problems with these, and the only organic solution I have found so far is picking them off by hand – which is not really practical for me. Thank you so much Toni, your advice on the bug is extremely helpful - especially the vacuum cleaner tip, I will use the leaf blower/vacuum, that should do the trick - then get onto the tree with the soap spray this Winter. I have found your pages absolutely invaluable, especially because your timing is so good, the pages always contain exactly the information I need for that time of year in my garden!
